Kindle is the ebook reader which has captured the market of the book lovers around the world.

There are two main companies who have launched this product and one may have a look at their pros and cons, before deciding on which one you should buy.

Amazon brought out its first Kindle in November 2007, and after 2 years released its second version of kindle, which had two additional features, more storage space and an option to read out aloud to the reader. This version was slimmer and upgraded version to be able to read the PDF files. In 2010 Amazon released a new version which had 2 variants- a wifi enabled and the other 3G enabled. These versions had improved display over the previous generation.

Sony Reader is quite similar to the Amazon Kindle. They brought out 7 innovations and of them 4 are being sold in the market. Sony also has a Reader Pocket edition which is even smaller and competitively priced than the other variants.
